Volksbank Dornstetten eG, located in the Black Forest, mainly serves private customers and business customers from small and medium-sized enterprises. In order to improve customer service and establish paperless processes, the bank introduced sceye in 2006 at the counselling counters of its main and branch offices. The focus is on capturing all kinds of identification documents (identity cards, birth certificates, marriage certificates, …).

Within the framework of process optimisation, sceye has simplified procedures at the bank counter. For example, there are no longer any interruptions during customer service to copy documents. Whether identity cards, certificates, or stapled pages – all documents can be captured directly at the counter and forwarded to the in-house document management system without additional post-processing. During the scanning process, the documents are also cut and straightened in seconds.

In order to transfer the documents securely by e-mail into the DMS system, an individual entry mask was created. This allows bank employees to directly select a predefined document type or to enter additional information such as customer or account number. Thanks to the flexibility of sceye, additional processes can be integrated quickly and easily at any time.

sceye has already been implemented at four other Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken to meet the demand for customer-oriented paperless processes at the bank counter.
